Toyota's Safety Sense System Helps Drivers Stay Safe

It's easy to get distracted on the road these days. The world pulses with sensory input, and it's difficult to cypher it all. Even if you do, there's no guarantee other drivers will, too.

That's why auto manufacturers have been racing to develop effective driver-assist safety technology, like Toyota's Safety Sense.

Toyota Safety Sense combines several driver-assist systems for a holistic approach to driver and passenger safety. Systems include:

Pre-Collision System (PCS): This system senses potential frontal collisions through a forward-facing radar and a road-scanning camera.

Lane Departure Alert (LDA): LDA helps drivers stay in their lanes. A specialized camera detects lines on the road and alerts you if you accidentally veer out of your lane.

Automatic High Beams (AHB): When enabled, this system automatically turns high beams on and off per road conditions. Best of all, it has the potential to automatically turn off before dazzling an oncoming driver.

Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC): DRCC detects vehicles in front of you while cruise control is activated. The system can, in some scenarios, adjust speed according to proximity.
