Dare to Compare: Toyota vs the Competition

At DCH Freehold Toyota we understand the financial commitment our shoppers make when they choose to buy or lease a new Toyota from our Freehold location, and we want them to know they made the right choice. To do that, that means accepting there are other highly competitive models on the Howell and Old Bridge streets that aren't from Toyota! We're willing to Dare to Compare our top picks against their biggest rivals.

If you're looking for an entry-level sedan then the Toyota Corolla is a great option. It even has standard Toyota Safety Sense P (TSS-P), so you'll get more advanced safety features on the base model of the Corolla than the Nissan Sentra. It's one of the many ways the Corolla is a better option.

Another top model is the Toyota Camry, and it regularly goes up against the Nissan Altima and Honda Accord. Nissan has come up in recent years, but it still doesn't have the same reputation as Toyota, so if you decide to trade-in your Camry after a few years, you'll likely get a better rate than with an Altima.

The stronger of the Camry rivals is the Accord, and the two are often neck and neck.  We're proud that the Camry still has a V6 engine, which the Accord lost in its most recent redesign. With the Camry's powerful engine (and available cockpit red leather interior), you can feel like you're ready to take on the Raceway Park in Englishtown!

Looking for something larger? We have you covered. If you're ready to size up from the sedans, then the Toyota RAV4 is a great choice and its competitor is the Nissan Rogue. Both models have a respectable list of advanced safety technology, but when it comes to looks (which are admittedly subjective), we like the more youthful and adventurous demeanor of the RAV4. Last, though certainly not least, is the Toyota Highlander, and the three-row crossover is quite popular with families, like those in the Matawan area. Compared to the Honda Pilot, the Highlander has a more sculpted and streamlined appearance, which we think is appreciated by parents who want to show that they still have style.
